The E-commerce Seasons Calendar for Hong Kong & SEA Retailers (2026–27 Edition)
From 11.11 to Chinese New Year: the campaign dates that matter in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia for late 2026 and 2027 — and how far ahead each one really needs to be planned.

Every market has its rhythm. In Hong Kong and Southeast Asia, the retail year is built around a handful of high-intensity moments — and the brands that win them start planning months earlier. Here's the calendar that matters for late 2026 into 2027, and the lead time each moment genuinely requires.
Q4 2026: the double-digit stretch
- 9.9 and 10.10 — the warm-up events. Useful for testing creative, offers and logistics before the big ones.
- 11.11 (Singles' Day) — still the region's demand peak. Pre-warming typically starts late October; influencer and CRM slots fill weeks ahead.
- 12.12 — the second wind, and the last chance to capture gift demand before Christmas.
- Black Friday / Cyber Weekend (27–30 Nov 2026) — now firmly part of the HK/SEA calendar, especially for cross-border and premium brands.
- Christmas — the long tail matters: gift cards, pickup-before-cutoffs and returns readiness.
Q1 2027: the second season
- Chinese New Year (late January–February) — the region's single biggest gifting moment. Red packets, festive bundles and family gifting drive categories from beauty to food. Creative and inventory lock in November–December.
- Valentine's Day — concentrated demand for beauty, jewellery and experiences; delivery cutoffs are the whole game.
Through the year
Ramadan and Hari Raya shaping demand in Malaysia and Indonesia, Songkran in Thailand, summer travel retail in Hong Kong, and the mid-year 6.6 and 7.7 events — each rewards retailers who plan creative, stock and staffing on the market's clock, not the Gregorian one.
The planning rule of thumb
Big moments need 8–12 weeks of runway (creative, stock, platform readiness), mid-tier events 4–6 weeks. And every campaign converts better on a store that personalizes: segment your list by behavior, vary the offer by loyalty tier, and let your CRM do the repeating for you.
If your 11.11 plan starts in October, this is your sign: it starts now. Our team helps retailers plan and execute the full seasonal arc — start the conversation early.
